Being inside the Dambulla Cave Temples (more than 2000 years old) is a surreal experience. There are five small caves or rock overhangs, on a hilltop, with numerous statues of The Buddha in various forms and postures.
Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site (1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country.
